A short time ago I was introduced to a forex provider called IC Markets by a trader friend of mine who operates a profitable Sydney based hedge fund. As I am an expert trader I thought that I’d spend time conducting my research on the company before I open an account so I decided to visit their offices in Sydney to find out more, I was tremendously impressed with what I saw.

I was surprised to see prices that were inverted and showed volumes of more than 100 standard lots on the bid and offer at any given moment. I was suddenly confident that trading in a real ECN market place was the only way to trade for any forex trader.

Subsequent to spending just over an hour in the boardroom with the Chief Operations Officer he invited me to take a seat on the trading desk to observe order flow build up in the ECN market place just ahead of The UK open. I went over to the trading desk and sat back with the Chief Operations Officer and watched the huge quantity of volume pour in from traders globally and the biggest investment banks around the globe, it was an incredible sight watching orders trade with one another at a rate of 100 every second. This was something that as a forex trader I had never been aware of when sitting behind my trading monitors at home in my Brisbane office.

Following the hospitality that the IC Markets team showed me I was certain that not only trading in an ECN market place was the only way to trade but also that IC Markets ECN technology was ground breaking and quite possibly a world first for any Metatrader 4 forex provider.

It’s been five months since starting my IC Markets forex trading account and I haven’t looked back, the ECN prices areremarkable and more significantly the execution is the best that I’ve ever experienced.
